Fighting For Freedom: Understanding Sex Trafficking

January is national Human Trafficking Awareness Month. Human trafficking is often thought of as an issue that is predominantly somewhere else. The fact is that 77% of victims worldwide are trafficked in their home country. These staggering statistics remind us this issue is in our community – potentially with high exposure to our very own families and friends! Project Moses has assembled an outstanding group of human trafficking experts to help us understand the current view of this issue in our country, state, and community. Through moderated questions, you will find a better understanding of the causes of the issue, a view of the trafficker, the impact on victims, and the long road of rehabilitation for the survivors of this crime. The role of corporate responsibility in this fight will be discussed. Everyone can play a role in the fight against human trafficking. Come learn what is currently being done in our state and how you can play a role in this fight!
